Vermont's Black Fly finds solace in solitude on his latest release “Wait”
Buried deep within the dense shrubbery and richly fertile land of Vermont, Black Fly unearths artistic inspiration from the wilderness on “Wait”.
In Black Fly's accompanying visuals for “Wait”, a rich catalogue of portraits capture perfect moments of serenity, showcasing the ephemeral beauty of the northeastern state. As glimpses of the natural terrain roll past on the film, strings soar against the delicate piano melodies, the single pulsing with life.
“It is meant more or less as a postcard of the place, showing the natural beauty and the people who live in it,” the enigmatic Black Fly explains.
“It highlights the dichotomy between the rural economics of the area and the stunning scenery, but aims to find the beauty in both.”
“Wait” is an intimate collection of portraits documenting the everyday lives of people living in this solitary setting - a love letter to his hometown.
