BELGRAVE releases the arresting "Dancing In The Silence" from debut EP Echoes
Almost exactly a year ago an enigmatic singer quietly announced himself. BELGRAVE’s “Is Love Enough” was - and although it’s no longer online, presumably still is - a beautifully melancholic and emotionally-charged piece of seductive electro-pop.
This debut was no fluke and was followed-up with the romantic and incredibly moreish “Playing Games” back in October. At the time we knew very little about the 24-year-old South Londoner but the quality was plain to see.
Now BELGRAVE is back with the first taste of his forthcoming Echoes EP and has teamed-up alongside Liam Howe (FKA Twigs, Jessie Ware, Lana Del Rey) with quite brilliant results. His obvious knack for songwriting is matched with an arresting vocal that grabs hold, yanks at the heartstrings and sores out above Howe’s immaculate production.
More upbeat than its predecessor, “Dancing In The Silence” still maintains the honesty and raw emotion that so intrigued at the outset and signals towards the strength of its extended player to come, while nodding to the likes of Josef Salvat.
Stream this impressive new cut below and expect to see a whole lot more from BELGRAVE in the not to distant future.
