BELGRAVE arrives with video to latest cut “Dancing In The Silence” [Premiere]
We’ve been keeping a close eye on the development of BELGRAVE. From the projects mysterious beginnings, the quality has always been allowed to shine through. Now we’re given a proper introduction into the world of the intriguing and talented newcomer.
Marrying dark imagery with increasingly haunting, bucolic settings, this new video depicts the South East Londoner battling with himself in suitably brooding and thought-provoking visuals that effortlessly tie-in with the seductive Liam Howe (FKA twigs, Jessie Ware, Lana Del Rey)-produced track.
"I wrote “Dancing in the Silence” over 18 months ago, before I had a manager or had started working with any producers.’ BELGRAVE explains of the track and its accompanying EP. ‘It was just me in my bedroom producing basic demos and not really knowing what to do with them. This all changed when I met Liam Howe. He took me under his wing and together we produced up my demos into what is now the Echoes."
Talking about the resulting video the vision was clear:
"I always knew I wanted to put a strong visual to this track and so the video came together over two ridiculously long days in Liverpool, dashing between incredible locations in my mates 1970s VW Beetle. It's the result of a crazy amount of work, from a small group of amazingly talented people and I'm very proud of it."
