BEKA releases HONNE-produced earworm single “My One”
Rising pop star BEKA’s “My One” is a liberating new single to fall in love with.
Taking the opportunity to write freely about love, former HONNE backing vocalist and collaborator BEKA delivers the liberating, euphoric “My One” - transporting you back to your bedroom with a hairbrush in hand, singing in the mirror and letting it all go. A pure pop anthem, “My One” gives you bubble-gum sweet while maintaining BEKA’s empathetic sound in an all-round, feel-good bop.
“'My One’ is, on the surface, a song about love,” BEKA explains. “Whether it’s love with your best friend, your person, your partner, or yourself, love feels unwritable. I wanted this song to be about that feeling of liberation, when you decide to be brave and no longer confine yourself to what seems like a ‘normal’ way of expressing yourself.”
BEKA · My OneThe track is BEKA’s most upbeat release to date, continuing to imbue her soft, hooky melodies and warm tones into a song that’s joyous. The song is “upfront and honest about the mess and the magic that is… love,” explains BEKA, showing us that even the simplest inspiration can create magic.
Since stepping into the music industry as a solo artist, BEKA has gained a powerful following after her HONNE collaboration on “More Than Friends”. “My One” takes BEKA to rising star status, setting the stage for a smash of an upcoming EP, while uplifting us all in the process.
