Listen: Beaty Heart – “Kanute's Comin' Round”
Offering-up another “rambunctious pop hymn“, Beaty Heart return and continue to develop their colourful sound, sending a psychedelic salute to the likes of Vampire Weekend and Animal Collective.
The Peckham trio are making a name for themselves in this growing tie-dye genre, thanks to their trippy concoction of jungle-like rhythms and brilliantly off-the-wall layers of sound. “Kanute’s Comin’ Round” follows-on from where “Lekka Freakout” left-off: all busy, chaotic noise topped with a genuinely euphoric refrain.
Set to be released by Nusic Sounds on 3 March, “Kanute…” is another lovable and lively taste from the band’s debut record Mixed Blessings due for release this Spring – stream below.
