bb sway delivers some elemental calm with “I Found Out When the Day Had Come”
London-based artist bb sway returns in the wake of recent release “Up in the Air” with silky new single “I Found Out When the Day Had Come”.
bb sway documents the unofficial change of seasons on “I Found Out When the Day Had Come”. Hailing from Hong Kong, the silky-voiced songwriter follows up her breakthrough EP Cosy with her third celestial single in the past three months.
Starting by recording Garage Band demos at the age of twelve, the young producer’s versatility is to be seriously admired; recent release “Up In The Air” is almost unrecognisable by comparison to her latest outing, with its dancefloor-ready scuffed drums and Middle Eastern chords.
Teeming with dreamy synth and paradisical vocals, “I Found Out When the Day Had Come” orchestrates an array of bounteous sound. As the angelic vocals build higher the guitar transcends layers with a flurry of swirling bird sounds to induce an absolute calmness.
Accompanied by a video displaying glistening coastlines, sunshine bursting through forest and primordial fires, the scrupulously serene visual matches that of the track and paints the picture just as well as sway’s vivid lyrics, as she describes all of the rich colours and smells she is ingesting. There is no doubt bb sway has a lot more vision to share.
