Bang Gang shares Helen Marnie collaboration, "Silent Bite"
Bang Gang, AKA Icelandic musician Bardi Johannsson, has unveiled a new single featuring the vocals of Helen Marnie of Ladytron.
It's called "Silent Bite", and arrives after another Ladytron collab - a remix of Johannsson's previous single "Out Of Horizon" by the band's Daniel Hunt.
It's a sparkling post-punk cut, infected with electronica elements and the darkest shadows. Marnie's billowing, ethereal vocals are typically haunting, and backed against grinding axes, frothy beats and vampiric synths, they feel even more chilling than usual, as if a phantom's possessed the noise. "Silent Bite" is a gothic cut, and channels a powerful energy from the other side that sends shivers across every inch of skin.
The track features on Johannsson's first album as Bang Gang since 2008, The Wolves Are Whispering. You can order it here.
