Blurring the distinction between punk and hip-hop, Badgirl$ share their latest quintessentially British single “Next Up II”.
With raucous guitar lines and ferocious spits, "Next Up II" is drowned in old school punk licks and revived with scuzzy hip-hop energy. With nods to the Manchester guitar scene, Badgirl$ polish their style with confrontational personality. The pace and energy of the track is infectious - its rowdy, anthemic style makes "Next Up II" an addictive sonic masterpiece.
Following previous singles "Click" and "Stella", "Next Up II" takes the three-piece to the next level, or as they explain: "'Next Up II' is about us being Next Up". Makes sense.
The band will host their twisted Christmas party at Hoxton's Lamb & Lion on 21 November and play the Warehouse Project alongside Slowthai and Mike Skinner on 7 December. Find Badgirl$ on Instagram.
