Axel Mansoor debuts with genre-spanning "Wasted My Love"
"Wasted My Love" is the debut single from Axel Mansoor who wants to defy genres, giving no label to his music.
The first solo release from the Los Angeles based singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Mansoor's debut "Wasted My Love" is purposefully hard to categorise. Mansoor sings candidly about a particular break-up which began as just a period of separation where the was hope for reconcoliation. Throughout the track, as the relationship breaks down further, Mansoor explores how flaws create strength coming to the realisation that sometimes you don't anyone to feel validated.
Folk, pop and R&B influences are all audible, but are intertwined with the on-trend electronic production. "Wasted My Love" does, however, still leave room for Mansoor's to showcase his more traditional style of songwriting.
