Apollo streams eclectic baroque-pop EP Atlantis, Ascending
Pop multi-instrumentlist/producer Apollo is streaming his new EP Atlantis, Ascending in full to celebrate its release.
Previously revealed singles "Oceans II" and "Octopus Wake" feature on the EP, which follows The Atlantis Experiment EP and last year's covers "jukebox".
From solemn a cappella odes to clanking electro-pop automatons to blissed-out baroque to juddery chamber ballads, Apollo does it all. The tortuous "Big Guns", with pitch-shifted doom, a choral breakdown, and rolling waves of malice, is particularly striking - this is a gorgeously eclectic short-player that showcases the breadth of Apollo's unique talents.
The Atlantis, Ascending EP is out now, and you can get it on Bandcamp.
