Amen Dunes is the musical moniker of Damon McMahon. Recorded in Montreal, new track “Lonely Richard” melds psychedelic folk with an appealing tinge of lo-fi fuzziness.
The song features guest vocals from Elias Bender Rønnenfelt of Iceage, whose relaxed drawl blends seamlessly with swipes of violin, guitar twang, and background drone. Listeners who anticipate a new release from The Cave Singers will find themselves drawn in by the track’s easygoing stomp.
“Lonely Richard” is the debut single from the upcoming Love LP, scheduled for a 12 May release via Sacred Bones.
