Amaroun unveils "Bedbugs", a warm alt. folk ode with mesmerising depth
Alt. folk singer/songwriter Amaroun is sharing her shimmering, shivering new song "Bedbugs".
The Northamptonshire artist draws inspiration from artists as diverse as Beck and Sharon Van Etten, and is teasing a busy 2016 with this first offering.
Kristofer Harris (Clock Opera, Bear's Den) has produced the track, which is stuffed with warm lo-fi guitars, emotive folk hallmarks, and Amaroun's addictively rich vocals. "Bedbugs" is an enticing entrance into the world of Amaroun, and showcases her talent for combining engaging, singalong melodies with deceptively intricate textures.
"Bedbugs" is out via digital download 14 March on YOY Records. Amaroun will be playing a London show at Rye Lane on 18 March.
