alxxa isn't here for any self-pity on new single "Pistol"
Copious songs focus on the "woe is me" stage of break-ups, but alxxa is here to smash her way through your self-pity party and tell you they never deserved you anyway.
Her out and out brash confidence would sit tidily next to Rihanna, with "Pistol" capturing that same bravado swagger. alxxa’s delivery stings like a strike from a sassy scorpion, each blow lessening the defences of her lacklustre suitor.
By holding back the intensity of the production, long-time collaborator Gazzo allows alxxa’s tenacity to take centre stage. From start to finish, not a single chink can be found in alxxa’s armour. "Pistol" is a show of strength and dominance that runs more than skin deep.
We’re assured no real pistols were used during the making of this track, but alxxa definitely hit where it hurts.
