Alex Haller airs breezy new track "Falling Into Space"
Float away with Alex Haller's new track "Falling Into Space", a dreamy take on his psychedelic and indie rock influences.
The Cambridge-born multi-instrumentalist's latest track is an odyssey merging his guitar-based songwriting with more expansive electronic production.
"Falling Into Space" is the second track to be taken from Haller's forthcoming debut EP Tounge Tie - it and the rest of the collection is a culmination of years of work. Haller has finally found courage in his music and ready to share his creations with the world. He explains: "I think for me a lot of the music I write is a way of saying things to people that I find too uncomfortable to say in real life."
"It's kind of like I can create this alternate reality where I'm free to be honest, without really having to worry about how people will respond," Haller continues. "Especially on this track, and the EP as a whole, I was reflecting on things that I'd left unsaid and the regret that comes with that. In a sense, writing these songs was a way of getting those feelings out into the world and kind of correcting the record."
The new single follows "Fill My Shoes", which was written after a period of time when Haller lived in Berlin. The tracks which make up the Tounge Tie EP began their life as recordings on Haller's phone, before becoming the fully realised tracks which have ended Haller's decade of musical isolation.
