Alessandro Ciminata channels Jack Garratt on introspective “Last Call”
London-based singer-songwriter Alessandro Ciminata shares “Last Call”, the lead single from his upcoming EP.
In a sonic shift from previous work, “Last Call” sees Ciminata embracing electronic sounds, namely the heavy bass at the song’s core, and the swathes of synths that decorate it. With co-production from Richard Frennaux (Laura Welsh), it’s no surprise that Ciminata’s transition into this new sound is impeccably smooth.
Ciminata describes the track as “a love song with traces of sadness”, as it narrates a conversation between lovers. With its versatile chorus, it could be the last call for anyone or anything, but what’s for certain is that that chorus will be stuck in your head for a good while after listening.
