Aldous RH returns with a slice of summer melancholia in “Feelin’ Blue”
Aldous RH, former Egyptian Hip Hop singer and Manchester native, shares his new single via Handsome Dad Records.
Written whilst spending excessive amounts of time on Manchester’s Curry Mile, “Feelin’ Blue” is a song stuck between seasons. Written in a Northern drab winter and recorded in the sweltering heat of Echo Park in LA, the song reflects the loneliness and stark isolation perpetuated in the winter months but is paradoxically imbued with a rich sonic summer texture.
This ode to monogamy and smooth rock was recorded to 16-track tape by Tomas Dolas in Highland Park’s Studio 22. It is equal parts Mac Demarco and DIIV, both of which Aldous RH has supported in the past.
