Emotive troubadour Albin Lee Meldau returns with “Persistence”
Albin Lee Meldau, the offspring of a Swedish jazz singer and a British punk rocker, tips his hat to soul and rock 'n' roll in new track “Persistence”.
The cyclical nature of the music industry means that when a truly unique voice comes to light everyone is suddenly listening. Albin Lee Meldau is one such voice. A rich blend of retro pop with good, old fashioned soul, Meldau captivates listeners with a direct, no-nonsense style that appears to come from a place of appreciation and honesty.
On “Persistence” Meldau employs thought-provoking melodic changes beneath his trademark warm vocal tone, with classic soul instrumentation providing a nostalgic backdrop. With a congratulatory nod from Tony Visconti - among others - Meldau looks like he has a pretty good chance of crooning for a little while longer.
