The Line of Best Fit
The elusive producer straddles the sweet spot between playful romance and melancholic heartbreak on this his latest offering.
A multi-disciplinary artist, AKA Block combines his love for poetry, film and storytelling with a penchant for complex production and an ear for melody. A shift from dark and brooding songwriting to a more light-hearted approach is demonstrated on new single “Roses” which goes from Youth Lagoon style bedroom-pop to Lany’s neon heartache. The addition of Dana Williams on guest vocals brings the entire track to life, her beautiful choral inflexions adding an almost mystical quality to the mix.
One to watch for sure.
Roses is out 20 April.
