"Closure" is a lilting-yet-intense folk offering from Sweden's Adna
With her new record ready to be released on 17 March, Adna has today unveiled the beautiful new title track from her third LP.
On "Closure", the Swede sings "I don't even know what I need / all I want is before" and there's lyrics suggesting Adna is battling the voices in her head, sung over the most mournful backing.
Amid the portentous and powerful drum patters and gorgeous notes of teardrop piano, there's a sense that Adna is trying to find a way out of a darkness. It's telling that "Closure" is both single and album title, pointing to the record serving a certain purpose. There's also obvious searching as Adna pleadingly asks "are you somewhere else now..."....but you don't get the feeling there's going to be an immediate answer.
