Sweden’s VED hail from the Möllan area of Malmö, a district known locally for it’s vibrant nightlife and art scene. And just looking at the list of instruments used on the band’s upcoming self-titled record, it’s easy to tell it’s has been a great influence on the group’s sound. Among the more traditional guitar,bass and drums are organs, samplers, a zither and, erm, “sunglasses” and a “broken KORG synth”. All combine, except from maybe the shades, to create an album of diverse but intricately infused ambient electronica.
