With the glittering eighties explosion of The New Division’s ‘Night Escape’ that featured as a Best Fit Song Of The Day last month still reeling through our bones, we’re thrilled to be able to offer the band’s debut EP – also called Night Escape – as an exclusive stream.
Released today via the band’s own Division 87 Records, the EP recalls the more emotive moments of the much acclaimed Drive Soundtrack; visions of neon flecked city streets are conjured whilst slow burning bursts of epic synth fuelled nostalgia push and tweak the senses in all the right places. The title track being the centre piece, with one of the most memorable guitar phrases of the year and backed by Keep Shelly In Athens, ‘Night Escape’ could quite easily go down as one of the year’s best guitar / electro cross-overs.
