Five years. Five long, lonely years have passed since we last heard from San Franciscan pair Two Gallants. Five years since their eponymous third album convinced the last of the doubters that this is a duo to be cherished, treasured and celebrated. And that’s exactly why we’re so happy to be able to share a brand new release from the Californian duo today, as we unveil an exclusive stream of Two Gallants’ fourth album The Bloom And The Blight.
In the time since they were last with us, the duo have been through a lot – emotionally, physically, mentally and musically – the results of the past few years having been carefully and harmoniously captured on their latest record. An effort which combines turbulent emotions and poignant lyricism with melodic majesty, The Bloom… also presents a band pushing their own boundaries and breaking away from the folk and blues based labels with which the duo have been painted.
Now readying themselves to set off on an extensive US and EU tour and for the European release of their album, the duo have offered up The Bloom And The Blight for your aural perusal, so have a listen to the record that the pair describe as they “passage into adulthood” below.
The Bloom And The Blight will be released via Fargo Records on 08 October. Pre-order the album here.
