Following a few fine singles, Denmark's Nelson Can are gearing up to release their new EP this week, and we're bringing it to you a day early.
Selina Gin, Maria Juntunen and Signe SigneSigne are a bass, drum and voice trio, and that often dark minimal approach clashes against a melodic, colourful and powerful delivery, particularly on a track like "Break Down Your Walls".
With a setup which relies a lot on rhythm there's an obvious post-punk sound to Nelson Can, but EP3 shows that there's huge pop hooks in the Danish threesome's music. As a document of a band still in (to some extent) development, it's quite a thrill. Listen below.
EP3 is out tomorrow via Alcopop! Records. Nelson Can tour the UK in November in support of Jaws.
