Look the Other Way

"Look the Other Way" is a super spangly party song. It's like the very beginning of the party, when you’re still hanging around the snacks, waiting for things to heat up. It’s our favourite tune to play live - just listening to it now conjures up a happy sea of bobbing heads.

I’m Like You

"I’m Like You" is a straight up love song. It’s about finding another weirdo whose weirdness makes total sense to you. Maybe it’s about going out too much, losing yourself in life a bit, just tumbling through it with someone.

New

"New" is our little grungey anthem. People get a bit swaying to this one, which is nice. It’s about trying to reach someone. About the closeness and the alien-ness of new love, and how you’re just being thrown from one to the other. There's that desire to just crawl inside someone else and live there for a bit, and the struggle of knowing you’re always going to be a thing apart.

What You Want

We wrote the beginning of "What You Want" at the back of an old house on a beach somewhere. It’s about someone back in London who took up a good year of my [Rebecca's] life with a lot of promises.
