Pop Profile #1 :: Jam On Bread
Welcome to Pop Profile. The brand new all expense spared feature from The Line Of Best Fit. Each week Tom ‘proven genius’ Whyman, one of the most well-connected writers in the indie scene today, gets an exclusive, intimate look at one of its most sought-after performers.
To kickstart things. We present to you the wonderful Jam On Bread.
How did you get your name, Jam On Bread?
Death-of-names.
That’s not an explanation?
Actually, I was originally called Lamb On Bread, but then I became a vegan, so I had to change it. Now I only eat meat, but the name is too entrenched. So the world turns, and we grow older.
You play the ukulele?
Hands too small for regular guitar.
What inspires you?
The melancholy sounds of the ocean.
Are we bound by fate, or do we bind fate?
Only the sages in the mountains know our destiny.
Favourite type of giant?
Storm-giant. Or cloud-giant.
What is your ultimate weapon?
Enchanted +4 Axe, Gilli’s axe.
Final limit break?
Manatee Strike.
What were the circumstances of your birth?
Born from the ocean, and raised by poor farmers in a hut in Grimsby.
Do any great prophecies surround you?
Just one, “the oak will smash as soon as the egg is hatched.” But no birds dwell in this oak just yet.
Greatest achievement to-date?
Once ran four miles, away from thieves in hot pursuit on the backs of fawns.
Favourite number?
11.
