What was the first song that really caught your imagination?
Hard to say which one was the first, but it would probably be something from ‘Songs In The Key of Life’ maybe ‘Knocks Me Off My Feet’

What was the music your parents liked and do you think it’s influenced you at all?
The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Carole King, Van Morrison all that kind of stuff and yes it has been an influence in the sense that it makes me feel nostalgic.

What posters did you have on your wall as a kid?
The first posters that I put on my wall were Culture Club and Bananarama, after that it was pages from The Face magazine and footballers!

Which songs or albums would you play at a party?
Beyonce ‘Single Ladies’
Big Daddy Kane ‘Wrath of Kane’

Which songs remind you of a rainy day?
Nick Drake ‘Pink Moon’
Nina Simone ‘Think It’s Going To Rain Today’

Which album do you seek solace in when you are feeling sad?
Van Morrison Astral Weeks

What music was, or would be, the “first dance” at your wedding?
Van Morrison ‘Sweet Thing’

What was the first gig you went to as a paying customer?
I think it was a Capital Radio Roadshow.

Name the one song you think everyone should hear.
Jackie Wilson ‘Your Love Lifts Me Higher’ – warms your soul.

Which one artist do you think not enough people know about?
Max Tundra, he’s amazing!

What’s the best thing you’ve heard recently?
I heard a pretty awesome version of Queen’s ‘Don’t Stop Me Now’ performed by some mates at a wedding last weekend!

Dead or alive, what 5 acts would you have play with you at a festival?
Beatles, Beyonce, Bjork, Tinariwen and Supertramp.
