We tracked down home recording auteur Kelley Stoltz a few months ago to pitch our enticing 20Q’s to him. He didn’t know what a stoat was, he has a bald spot and he is addicted to buying records on ebay. Where else but TLOBF would you find out important and vital information such as this? Wikipedia? 2. What was the first record you ever bought? And where did you buy it?
Queen “Another one bites the dust” 45 – some mall in Galveston, Texas.
3. What’s the best cure for a hangover?
Pho soup.
4. What’s on your rider?
White wine, Heineken light, PG tips tea.
5. How do you get ready for a live show?
Pacing my apartment, covering my bald spot.
6. What’s your favourite song to play live?
“Ace of spades” by Link Wray.
7. What’s your guilty pleasure?
eBay record buying.
8. Who would win in a fight, a stoat or a goat and why?
I dont know what a stoat is. So I’ll say a goat in a boat on a moat.
9. What was the last album you bought?
Giles Giles & Fripp – Cheerful Insanity.
10. If you could rid the world of one song – what would it be?
All songs are good for somebody – I wouldn’t judge – just turn it off or move along.
11. Who would play you in a film based upon your life?

Meeting people.

Mom, Dad, Star Wars, playing little league baseball, Stepdad, singing in a Pippin musical, drinking beer outside in michigan winter, walking around New York City, my first San Francisco apartment, Grooves record store, playing in Australia, my gal, my friends.
16. What’s the best piece of advice someone has ever given you and did you take notice?
Usually the advice I get I second guess and do something else.
17. If you had to leave a body part to science, what would it be?
Brain.
18. What’s the best book you’ve read and film you’ve seen in the last 6 months?
Queer by William Burroughs, Hidden Fortress by Akira Kurosawa.
19. What three things could you not live without?
Booze, music, food.
