So many! Some examples: Samba giants Zeca Pagodinho, Alcione, Paulinho da Viola, and Arlindo Cruz or younger ones such as Marcelinho Moreira or Pedro Miranda. What's the best venue to watch live music?
Maybe tiny Audio Rebel for experimental music and young players.
What's the best club?
Circo Voador is a large concert venue in a tent. Trapiche Gamboa is a great spot for samba.

Bibi or Bebê for açaí and juices!

The Jardim Botânico is a favorite. The Maracanã stadium is also not to be missed.
How do you get around the city?
I walk a lot and take taxis when I have to.

Maybe a run in Paineiras followed by a dip under a waterfall.
What's the worst thing about Rio?
Enormous income gap and all its results: terrible violence and failing health and educational systems.

Bird songs and the silver autumn light.
