Allison describes her new songs as “a progression of a period of my life. It’s about things a lot of people go through, especially women, wanting to be someone who grows past vulnerability, but realising you can’t. If you meet a new person, you act like you’re above that vulnerability but it comes back to it in the end.”"

She reveals Jeff Buckley's influence on her guitar playing "He used those jazz chords and I think that’s where I get some of the guitar tones I play, I like to make it sound really bright and I want it to twinkle."

As to her future intentions, Allision explains “I want to go at the speed of light. I want to tour with the band and share the music with everyone. To be able to express myself musically, to be confident in it and do it as a career is the ultimate goal. I think that’s most musicians’ goal, to survive playing music.”"

Soccer Mommy's Collection is out now on Fat Possum Records.

Allison is set for several US shows through November, including Nashville, Philadelphia and Brooklyn.
