Johan Angergård of Labrador Records recommends…
“The Hateful Eye” by Little Big Adventure
“I discovered Little Big Adventure when Johan of The Radio Dept. recommended me The Paper Merchants. The Paper Merchants had some great songs and some not so good songs. Anyway, the singer of the band also has the one man band Little Big Adventure and somehow I stumbled my way to their Myspace page and fell in love instantly. Little Big Adventure is moving between some sort of extremes; the singer has a rather soft and sweet voice singing beautiful pop melodies while the drums are heavily distorted and all the lyrics are about hate. “The Hateful Eye” is lovely example of what makes them so special.”

As well as being a member of Acid House Kings, Club 8 and The Legends, Johan Angergård is also the head of the uber-influential and dearly loved Swedish label Labrador. The label has been home to some of the countries most loved indie pop acts for some 11 years or so and continues to produce some of the finest examples of pop music Europe, or indeed, the World has ever seen. Labrador’s most successful act Suburban Kids With Biblical Names have a new record out Spring 2009, whilst their newest signings Sound Of Arrows release their brand new single ‘M.A.G.I.C’ in January.
