Behind the Scenes on Nina Nesbitt's lo-fi video for 'The Moments I'm Missing'
Scottish singer-songwriter Nina Nesbitt gives us an inside look at the recording of her new video for 'The Moments I'm Missing' and outlines the concept behind it.
The video, released this week, is a dramatically low-fi affair with projectors galore and fantastically atmospheric lights, vivid colours and bold shadows all expertly captured on film. Focusing on the artist's personal journey, the nostalgic piece incorporates actual footage from Nesbitt's childhood.
Nesbitt explains "We shot the music video in a studio space with projections of me as a kid all over the walls, it felt like being trapped inside my own childhood, in the best way. I just wanted something that would bring the two worlds together and I'm really happy with the outcome. The whole thing was shot on film and I held the box full of it at the end which was quite terrifying. Luckily it didn't get broken or lost."
Nina Nesbitt's 'The Moments I'm Missing' is out now on Cooking Vinyl.
On 20 September Nesbitt is set to take part in Give a Home - a global concert series hosted by Amnesty International and Sofar Sound, alongside acts including Ed Sheeran, Jessie Ware, Hozier and Kate Tempest.
