What's your present state of mind and being?

Fair to middling.

What's the most overrated virtue?

Patience. I understand the importance of it but I just find the waiting around dull and frustrating. I’d be shit at being pregnant. Next question!!

What one thing have you learnt from your parents?

The best chicken curry and pilau rice recipe. That’s two sorry.

What the most desirable quality you look for in romantic partner?

My partner is the polar opposite of everything I thought I wanted and I absolutely adore him, it’s the healthiest and longest relationship I’ve ever had. So apparently someone with an unhealthy love of bananas and Jackson Browne.

What and where was the greatest meal you ever ate?

I've been lucky to have had a lot of amazing meals as I am pretty well travelled. A seafood risotto at a restaurant in Venice near Rialto Bridge sticks out though! And curry at my aunties house is a close second. Italian and Pakistani food are my favourites. For good Pakistani food in London head to Tayyabs.

What's your most treasured possession?

I’m pretty sentimental about jewellery. For me it has to tell a story. I buy myself a piece of jewellery on each album release day. I lost a ring I bought on the day of my second album release and was gutted, my boyfriend bought me an antique ring to replace it and I don’t think there’s a day I’ve not worn it since.

What was the last dream you had about?

Last night I dreamt I was on tour and our bus broke down and I had to go walking in a forest to find sandwiches for my band. Pretty shit dream.

What's the biggest lie on your Wikipedia page?

I noticed a while back someone had added ventriloquist to my list of occupations. I loved it and kept it there. It think some boresville has taken it down though.

If you could say something to your 15-year-old self, what would it be?

There are better bands out there than Blur. Please stop listening to Blur.
