All Apologies: Izzi Manfredi of The Preatures
Sydney-based rock band The Preatures released their new album Girlhood yesterday. The second record from the Australian outfit - led by singer Izzi Manfredi - looks at the contradictions of being a modern woman, and is set to further the successes of debut album Blue Planet Eyes. Manfredi took some time out from her soul-searching to take on the Best Fit Q&A.
What's your present state of mind and being?
"Excited and little (lot) nervous about our new album coming out."
What's the most overrated virtue?
"Selflessness."
What one thing have you learnt from your parents?
"That life goes on when bad things happen."
What the most desirable quality you look for in romantic partner?
"Lust for Life."
What and where was the greatest meal you ever ate?
"Eating my Nonna's potato gnocchi with burnt butter and sage at my parent's restaurant when I was 12."
What's your most treasured possession?
"A bakelite box full of love letters."
What was the last dream you had about?
"I found the perfect apartment, it was like a rabbit warren full of rooms and spaces to make music. I was trying to figure out how to afford it."
What's the biggest lie on your Wikipedia page?
"I just tried to google us and it wouldn't load so I can't find out for you!"
If you could say something to your 15-year-old self, what would it be?
"Stop sleeping with losers."
And finally, who would you most like to apologise to and why?
"I have no regrets and nothing to apologise for."
