All Apologies: Tulisa

02 September 2016, 09:00

As she gears up for the next phase in her musical career - with a new single featuring WSTRN's Akelle - Tulisa Contostavlos tackles the Best Fit Q&A

What's your present state of mind and being?

Self awareness and inner peace. Full of happiness and excitement as I'm back doing what I do best, music! My new single is almost released, it's a good time.

What's the most overrated virtue?

Anything that is considered a virtue is a positive trait. And any positive trait can't be a negative in my books. I'm a very positive person these days!

What one thing have you learnt from your parents?

Politeness. My mum and dad me that good manners never go out of fashion. That and having good social skills. We are a very polite and social family.

What the most desirable quality you look for in romantic partner?

Someone that I see for who they are, and they can see me for who they are. So I guess being understanding. That's a very good quality in a partner.

What and where was the greatest meal you ever eaten?

When I was in the Maldives, the best chef on the island took all the fish I'd caught with my friends and made a fresh buffet of all different kinds of food. We then ate it by candlelight on the beach. It was a very special moment and one I will never forget.

What's your most treasured possession?

A photograph of my Uncle B, my uncle and N-Dubz manager. He is unfortunately no longer with us. Because it's the only photograph I will pack in my suitcase if I go away for long periods. It's a reminder of where I've come from and everything I've achieved. It's where it all began.

What was the last dream you had about?

The apocalypse. I always have end of the world dreams. In this one there was a giant red planet in the sky colliding with earth.

What's the biggest lie on your Wikipedia page?

It says I was brought up in a three-bedroom house, and it was a one bedroom council flat. I also didn't go to school in St Johns Wood!

If you could say something to your 15 year old self, what would it be?

There's gonna lots of ups and downs, but hang on in there, and if it's not alright, it's not the end. There will be as many highs as there are lows though.

And finally, who would you most like to apologise to and why?

My headmaster in Quintin Kynaston, Miss Shields for giving her such a hard time. I was skipping classes, generally being a naughty student and a little rebel. Now I see that all she wanted was the best for me.

Tulisa's new single "Sweet Like Chocolate" is out now via AATW Records/Universal.
