The life of seminal music journalist Lester Bangs is set to be turned into a new play, premiering in California later this month.
How To Be A Rock Critic will be staged at the Kirk Douglas Theatre in Culver City from 17-28 June. Written by Jessica Blank and Erik Jensen (best known for The Exonerated), the one-man play “utilizes Lester’s own writing to chart the life, work and death of one of the 20th century’s most ground-breaking, pioneering voices”.
