Kanye West marks 10th anniversary of debut album The College Dropout
The College Dropout, the debut album from Kanye West, turns 10 years of age today, with its author taking to Twitter to address the milestone.
In a series of tweets posted earlier today (10 February), West called his first LP his “life’s work up to that point”, labeling it “a true labor of love”. The rapper proceeded to thank fans for “unwavering support and love over the past ten years”.
West continued to say that even though his infamy has grown since, he’s “still the same kid from Chicago, still dreaming out loud, still banging on the door”, before parting with the following rallying call: “The doors may be heavier, but I promise you WE WILL BREAK THEM.”.
