Andrew Bayer and Ane Brun team up on majestic new track "Love You More"
"Love You More" is a tantalisingly elegant electro love song that comes as a the final track in the lead up to Andrew Bayer's upcoming album In My Last Life.
WIth a drawn out opening that feels as though you are rattling through an electronic current, "Love You More" is a song that exercises patience in its build up, slowly introducing the different elements one at a time. First, there is the driving beat that cements the song, before Norwegian artist Ane Brun's haunting vocals enter the frame with spine-tingling results.
The elegance of the synths grow organically, subtly pulling you in as they encourage total escapism. The song's real strength comes in how it grows into something of a spectacular lightshow of electro theatrics, delivering an air of euphoria that is never too brash or up-front, instead revelling in its mystique.
However, do we warned - as it soars into its cinematic climax, it may leave you wanting to run out in the rain in ecstacy.
Speaking on how the magical collaboration came about, Bayer explains "I first came across Ane when someone showed me a video of her when I was still at Berklee and I could not believe what I was hearing. With her, it was like working with one of my idols. Whenever she sent something back I was amazed. It was a very different experience working with Ane and Alison on this record but then it really just came together in this beautiful way that really was cohesive. The whole album is based around love songs, and ‘Love You More’ looks at how we come to accept that love from someone else in a relationship."
