The honour of being invited to Ólafur Arnalds’ studio during Best Fit’s time in Iceland for the annual Airwaves Festival was the icing on a very wonderful – but very cold and windy – cake.
While Hurricane Leslie raged outside, Arnalds broke in his brand new piano for us, accompanied by cellist Paul Grennan for the stirring classic ‘Undun Hulu’, which has been floating around the web since 2007 and finally found a home on the 2010 album …and they have escaped the weight of darkness.
Iceland Airwaves 2013 takes place from 30 Oct – 3 Nov next year. Early bird tickets are now available.
