As previously reported, the mayor of Kurt Vile’s hometown of Philadelphia recently announced the 28 August as ‘Kurt Vile Day’, in honour of the city’s own beloved singer-songwriter.
The event taking place last week saw Vile handed the Liberty Bell Award at a public ceremony, before he played a rendition of recent album track ‘Wakin on a Pretty Day’ to his adoring crowd.
