Soundcloud celebrate turning five years old
Music-uploading website, Soundcloud turned five years of age this week, marking its 5th anniversary by asking users how the site changed their lives.
The creators have now posted a collection of responses, streaming beneath, including a Polish singer who was signed to Snoop Dogg’s label after he discovered her on Soundcloud.
The site’s co-founder, Eric Wahlforss recently told CMU: “Five years ago we started SoundCloud to serve our own niche as audio professionals, but from the overwhelming response we got from our community we quickly came to appreciate just how fundamental sound is to the human experience. We can’t wait to hear what stories the next five years will bring to light.”
