Rufus Wainwright has shared new single "Trouble In Paradise", a first glimpse of his forthcoming album due to land next year.
"Trouble In Paradise" is Wainwright's first single since last year's "Sword of Damocles".
Of the new single, Wainwright says it has "a sense of sophistication and an animalistic instinct."
Wainwright's album slated for release in 2020 will be his first since 2016's Take All My Loves: 9 Shakespeare Sonnets. The new album was recorded in LA with producer Mitchell Froom. Wainwright says, "As soon as I got to LA I realised I wanted to make another of those good, old-fashioned records."
Rufus Wainwright's "Trouble In Paradise" is out now via BMG. His new album will land in 2020.
