Having already been booked to headline the Sunday leg of next year’s Field Day festival in London, Pixies have now been announced for both Primavera Sound in Barcelona and Porto’s Optimus Primavera Sound during 2014.
The alt-rock outfit will join the likes of Arcade Fire and Neutral Milk Hotel at the Spanish fest, with Jeff Mangum and co also playing the Portuguese sister event too.
Primavera will take place between 29-31 May at the Spanish city’s Parc del Fòrum, while Optimus Primavera Sound runs from 5-7 June.
In other Pixies news, the band recently sacked their bassist Kim Shattuck.
