Swedish singer, Neneh Cherry is to release her first solo album in 16 years early next year, recruiting some interesting collaborators to help out with it.
The LP, coming via Smalltown Supersound, was produced by both Four Tet and RocketNumberNine and will feature a guest spot from fellow Scandi performer, Robyn.
“It was a liberating experience, not endlessly trying to fiddle with the music, re-recording hundreds of times,” Cherry said of the album. “These days it’s easy to create any effect or sound on a computer, it is much harder to get the rawness I think we’ve achieved.”
Four Tet had previously worked with Cherry on remixes in the past.
