Later With Jools Holland moves to ITV studios
British TV’s best music show, Later… with Jools Holland is set to move ahead of its next series.
Having parted ways with the soon-to-close BBC Television Centre in West London, the programme has now announced it will relocate to ITV’s Maidstone Studios in Kent.
Executive Producer Mark Cooper told Music Week:
“We spent the best part of a year ever since the closure of TV Centre was announced going around to virtually every studio in the London area looking at all kinds of facilities. It’s taken an awful lot of time. We were a month away and we had been looking for a year
a wonderful size. It’s bigger than TC1 at Television Centre. We won’t use all the space, but we can adapt the size. It’s accessible around the M25 and you can get to it from Central London via St Pancras so it will be relatively easy to get to. It’s got a great sound desk and that’s important for ‘Later…’ and they have made us very welcome”.
Holland just so happens to live in Kent too.
