Lady Gaga's new single 'Applause' leaks online

The new single from Lady Gaga has surfaced online a week ahead of its official release.

The track had appeared online in varying qualities earlier in the day, before Gaga decided to send a full and official version to U.S radio stations.

‘Applause’ will be released in advance of Gaga’s upcoming LP come 19 August, with a cover depicting Gaga as Pierrot, the stock jester character from Italian theatre.

ARTPOP itself will follow on 11 November, but until then you can listen to its lead cut below:
