Kim Gordon to appear in an episode of Girls
Former Sonic Youth frontwoman and bassist, Kim Gordon has been keeping busy since the probably-indefinite hiatus of her band with new project Body/Head. She’s also been taking to acting, having been cast for the next season of hit U.S TV show Girls.
A dream combination for the indie world, Gordon is set to team up with Lena Dunham for an episode of what will be its third series. Speaking to Slate recently, the musician told the publication in passing that she’ll star on the programme, which all come about because she “met mom casually” and knows the show’s executive producer, Jenni Konner,
It’s not yet known what role Gordon will play in the show, or when the episode or indeed season will air. Body/Head’s new album is out next week, you can stream it here.
