Alt hip-hop producer and rapper Jeffrey James Logan, aka, Jel has announced details of his third album Late Pass which he likens to “Public Enemy’s Bomb Squad detonating explosives under the prog-rock grooves of German experimental behemoths Can.”
The founder of the influential independent label Anticon, Jel shared a new song ‘La Resolve’ as a taster of what’s to come on Late Pass. The track features scattered rap, interesting beats and samples and traits you’d immediately associate with the rapper. He explained the song to XLR8R as “Beck circa Odelay if KRS-One was his spirit animal.”
Check out ‘La Resolve’ below.
