It looks like Prince is touring the UK and Europe in the next few weeks
It seems that Prince is set to head to Europe later this month for a new 16-date tour.
The news was reportedly broken during a press conference/party/show in his Paisley Park studios in Minnesota over the weekend.
The Prince Spotlight: Piano & A Microphone tour will include four UK shows in Glasgow, Liverpool, Birmingham, and London. It will, as the title suggests, be a solo tour with just piano and microphones.
While nothing's been officially put out confirming the tour yet, Prince's Twitter account seems to indicate something going on.
The promoters say that this is the first time in 37 years that Prince has toured this way. The dates and venues are yet to be fully finalised, but so far reportedly include an opening show at Vienna's Konzerthaus on 21 November, as well as concerts at Barcelona's Teatro Liceo on 13 December and Brussels' Royal Circus on 22 December.
There will also be two shows in Denmark, one in Sweden, one in Norway, as well as "at least" one each in the Netherlands, Switzerland, Italy, France, and Germany.
Speaking at the conference, Prince said [translated from Spanish]: "Why do this now? For several reasons. For starters it is a challenge. I do not want to have bad reviews, but not back to what I'm sure I can do because I've done for 30 years. You have to try new things. With the piano it is more naked, more pure. You can see exactly what you get."
Prince released new record HITNRUN via Tidal earlier this year.
