Gold Celeste are streaming debut LP The Glow in full on Best Fit [Premiere]
Norwegian trio Gold Celeste are streaming debut record The Glow in full, exclusively on Best Fit, ahead of its release on Friday (11 September).
Speaking about the album, the band say: ”The record’s title comes from the glow every human being is carrying, whether they're aware of it or not. There is no doubt, what so ever, when looking at the history of mankind that we're able to do the most atrocious and evil acts, and these acts will change both people and societies as a whole. What we are, and might be capable of. Our potential is of both being infinitely hateful, and infinitely loving. This is the glow.”
The Oslo-based group have already impressed with gorgeous dreamy tones, weaving through decades to cherrypick their favourite parts of favourite genres so that they can create a unique sound. Although they may be easy on the ears, the band actually explore deep, and sometimes dark, themes, keenly dissecting modern culture's superficiality complex in search of honesty and truth.
The Glow is out 11 September via Riot Factory.
