Danny Brown to team up with Freddie Gibbs for remake of Outkast track
Danny Brown has revealed a rather interesting collaboration with fellow rapper Freddie Gibbs, seeing the pair re-imagine Outkast track ‘Return of the G’.
The “remake” track of sorts is said to be produced by Paul White, with Brown saying that the beat “sounds like a fucking haunted house”.
In the recent video interview with Danish hip-hop site DrozDailySteezin, the Fool’s Gold rapper also discusses his forthcoming debut album OLD, 50 Cent, Sarah Palin and having “bitches on my dick” way back in middle school (his words, not ours).
OLD is set to drop in August via Fool’s Gold and features guest verses from Schoolboy Q and Mr Muthafuckin’ eXquire as well as Scrufizzer, A$AP Rocky, Ab-Soul, Purity Ring and goth-pop sensation Charli XCX. Production comes from Darq E Freaker, OhNo, Rustie, Skywlkr, A-Trak and Frank Dukes.
